• | Where and how do I make copies? Copy machines are located in each of the program suites. Large copy jobs may be sent to the Campus Copy Center for duplication. This typically requires a three day notice, as long as the Copy Center does not have any large, pending orders. Forms for printing at the Copy Center are available from your department’s administrative assistant. Department approval is required before printing anything through the Copy Center. Without prior authorization, you may not receive reimbursement. When duplicating, keep in mind that you must adhere to all copyright laws.

• | How do I get Audio/Visual equipment to my classroom? AV Services will provide TV, VCR, screens, and overhead projectors for classroom use. Faculty should call 786-4646, option 2, to make arrangements. Give them your classroom, dates, and times that you will require the equipment. The A/V office staff are very reliable and will have the equipment to your classroom at least 15 minutes before the class period starts. | |

• | How is my course evaluated? The Individual Development & Educational Assessment (IDEA) program has replaced the SDIS program for student course evaluations. Through the IDEA program, course evaluations are completed on-line through Blackboard. Further information on the program and tutorial on how to set up your evaluations in Blackboard are available at http:// technology.uaa.alaska.edu/blackboard/. Under ‘Faculty Resources’, choose ‘Tutorial for Online Faculty Evaluations’. Paper evaluation forms are no longer available. | |

• | What do I do with student materials after the semester has ended? It is the students' responsibility to pick up any remaining assignments after the semester ends. You should make some sort of arrangement with students for picking up assignments. Assignments may not be left in unattended boxes in the halls or suites. | |

• | Where can office supplies be found? The College of Education has supply cabinets in each program suite. Please contact your department's administrative assistant to obtain supplies. | |

• | Where is my mailbox located? Adjunct faculty have mail folders located in the PSB 209 workroom in a labeled file cabinet. Full time faculty have mailboxes located in this room. | |

• | When and where can I park on campus? Parking Services will begin enforcing parking the second week of classes. Yellow parking passes must be used from 6:00am - 4:00pm in all lots except the parking garage. After 4:00pm, green parking permits can be used in all lots, except the parking garage. • | I haven't been paid... what's going on? Sally Gates is the contact for any type of pay problems. Paychecks are received via the US Postal Service every two weeks at the address listed on your hiring documentation. Checks not forwarded will be returned to the university and Sally will try to contact you to pick it up. You may also opt for Direct Deposit. Direct Deposit is available for all university faculty and staff. You may view/print the Automatic Deposit Request Form by clicking here. Please be sure to fill out the form completely. Pay is directly deposited into the specified account after two pay periods. | |

• | Where do I obtain my long distance telephone access codes? When you are trying to dial a long distance phone number on campus, you are required to dial an access code first. You can get your appropriate department code by asking your respective administrative assistant. To use the long distance code you must dial 9+1+phone number, and after the tone you must the long distance code. | |

• | Is there a fax machine available for my use? There is a fax machine in each of the program suites for your use. You must use your long distance code when faxing documents outside of the greater Anchorage area. | |
